Cymbopogon Martinii (Palmarosa Essential Oil)
Palmarosa essential oil is delicately extracted through the gentle process of steam or water distillation from the verdant, aromatic blades of the wild-growing herbaceous plant. This botanical marvel belongs to the same illustrious family as lemongrass and citronella, gracing us with its fragrant, grassy leaves. The resulting essential oil, a soft hue of pale yellow or olive, exudes a fresh and sweetly rosy fragrance.
Skin Rejuvenation
Known for its natural antiseptic properties, palmarosa essential oil serves as a hydrating elixir for the skin, and aids in the healing of wounds. It excels in treating acne, dermatitis, minor infections, scars, and wrinkles. As one of the finest oils for skin restoration, it nourishes, improves cell regeneration, and regulates sebum production. Note: Always dilute essential oils before application to the skin to ensure safety.

Recipe Suggestion
Face Mask for weekly application to normal/dry skin:
1 tablespoon kaolin clay
1 tablespoon organic clear honey (preferably local honey)
25ml hydrosol (rosa damascena or orange blossom)
1 drop palmarosa essential oil
Method: Combine the essential oil with the honey, then add the kaolin clay and mix well. Add the hydrosol to the clay mixture little by little, mixing thoroughly as you go (this is a bit like making icing for a cake - too much and it'll be too runny / not enough and it'll be too thick so be patient and blend slowly until you reach your desired consistency). Apply to the skin and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse and use a cotton wool pad soaked in your hydrosol to tone the skin before moisturising. For an indulgent finish, complete your skincare ritual with a few drops of my bespoke face oil— ask during your next visit for details and pricing based on the unique oils used.
